Amsterdam post-punk band The Dark Wave has released their debut EP, Trapped Behind Glass Walls, via Walboomers Music, simultaneously dropping the energetic new single “Forget.” The single is an emotional tour de force, with pounding drums and a colossal chorus featuring a wall of sound. Lyrically, the band questions how war refugees can ever forget hardship, hammering home the compelling line: “How do you forget, to forget?” The EP pays tribute to the dreamscapes of late ’70s and ’80s new wave music.
