Catcase’s Melodic New Single Channels Post-Punk Ghosts And Indie-Pop Lightness

Catcase has released “Technicolored Eyes,” the first single from their debut album, As it Reels. The brooding, melodic track is a mesmerizing blend of alt-rock and post-punk, with a touch of indie-pop lightness. Songwriter Lasse B. Beck cites diverse influences, from The Smashing Pumpkins to The Church and horror game composer Akira Yamaoka. The track captures a fleeting, high-contrast emotional state as the sun rises, built on heavy drums, chorus-drenched bass, and ethereal vocal harmonies.
