Paz Lenchantin launches her debut solo single “Novela”, the opening track from Triste, out October 17 via Hideous Human Records. A melodramatic Spanish-inspired ballad, “Novela” explores self-acceptance and personal storytelling, complemented by a video from filmmaker Maximilla Lukacs. Lenchantin, formerly of Pixies, A Perfect Circle, Zwan, and The Entrance Band, blends Latin folk textures with American rock structures, performing piano, strings, and most instruments herself. Collaborators include former A Perfect Circle members Josh Freese and Troy Van Leeuwen. Mixed by Chris Coady, Triste showcases Lenchantin’s fiercely personal vision, merging careful composition with intuitive artistry, marking the first chapter in her solo career while reflecting on faith, doubt, and self-discovery.
