Swedish composer and vocalist Anna von Hausswolff unveils her sweeping new single “Facing Atlas”, taken from her forthcoming album ICONOCLASTS, out October 31 via YEAR0001. The track blends ethereal vocals with church organ, guitars, swirling saxophone, and echoing percussion, expanding her sound into a vibrant, cinematic realm. Von Hausswolff describes the song as a reflection on the risks of commitment and destiny’s weight when not chosen by the heart. Produced with longtime collaborator Filip Leyman, the album features guest appearances by Ethel Cain, Abul Mogard, Iggy Pop, and Maria von Hausswolff, marking a new era of bold experimentation and ritualistic grandeur.
