Veteran rock outfit Shiner will release their new album BELIEVEYOUME on September 26. Known for constantly evolving their sound since the early ’90s, the band’s latest effort blends their signature heaviness with a more open, immediate approach compared to 2020’s darker Schadenfreude.
Recorded at bassist/engineer Paul Malinowski’s Massive Sound Studio, the album emerged from spontaneous sessions with fewer pre-written ideas. “Less brooding, more instinct. Still heavy, still weird—just breathing a little more,” says guitarist Josh Newton. Lyrically, BELIEVEYOUME explores aging, relationships, toxic behavior, and the contradictions of human connection, framed in Shiner’s introspective and layered style.
With standout tracks like “Asleep in the Trunk,” the record reflects the band’s honesty, humor, and evolution. BELIEVEYOUME reaffirms Shiner’s reputation for pushing boundaries while staying rooted in the shared experiences that have always defined their music.
