The Smashing Pumpkins have surprised fans with a new track, “Chrome Jets,” coinciding with the start of their Asia tour. Originally written during the Aghori Mhori Mei sessions but left unreleased, the song now emerges as a standalone single accompanied by a 12-inch vinyl release.
The record pairs “Chrome Jets” with a live cut of “Zoo Station” recorded in Berlin on June 22, 2024. With its release, the band offers fans a rare chance to hear material that had remained shelved, blending their trademark alternative rock textures with fresh energy.
Billy Corgan and company continue to revisit their archives while keeping the focus firmly on their present touring cycle, making “Chrome Jets” both a nod to the past and a timely gift for longtime listeners. The single is streaming now, with physical editions set to follow.
