Silver Dollar Room are an alternative rock band from Scotland, drawing collectively from their experiences and carefully crafting songs of real life issues and the world around them.
The response to their debut album ‘Gilded Echoes’ and the single releases spawned from it surpassed all expectations with hugely positive feedback, glowing reviews and airplay across the globe allowing the band to build a platform and increase their visibility to a whole new level. The band followed this up with a stripped back selection of songs from their debut album in the form of the Gilded Echoes: The Acoustic Sessions’ EP.
‘Normal People’ is the second release from their forthcoming album, ‘It Can’t Rain All The Time’, out 12th September. Previous singles ‘Come Morning’ and ‘Monsters’ received incredible feedback, increasing global visibility and airplay, in particular their latter release which has been their most successful to-date, garnering praise across the industry for it’s powerful message and hard-hitting video!
“Opening the album, ‘Normal People’ delves into the often-silenced subject of male suicide and the unravelling of failed relationships. This track follows two individuals locked in a tragic, self-destructive relationship, exploring the painful yet necessary decisions they must face to rescue themselves. It’s an honest look at vulnerability, accountability, and hope for redemption.” – Silver Dollar Room
Their new sophomore album, ‘It Can’t Rain All The Time’, dives deep into some of society’s most pressing issues. The band remark: “The record explores themes of male suicide, destructive relationships, class divide, addiction, poverty, wealth, and greed. More than just a collection of songs, it serves as a powerful statement on modern-day life and how the echoes of our past shape our present”.
