Nashville heavy duo Friendship Commanders have announced the release of their new album BEAR, due out October 10, 2025 via Magnetic Eye Records. The record was co-produced by band members Buick Audra (guitar, vocals) and Jerry Roe (drums, bass), alongside longtime collaborator Kurt Ballou, who also handled mixing and tracking. Centered on the concept of belonging, where it exists and where it does not, BEAR promises to be one of the band’s most ambitious works yet.
To accompany the announcement, Friendship Commanders have shared their latest dual single, “X / MIDHEAVEN,” along with a music video for “X” directed and edited by Roe. The two tracks showcase opposite ends of the band’s sonic spectrum: “X” delivers a raw tribute to Gen X and late friend Steve Albini, while “MIDHEAVEN” explores themes of identity, fate, and cosmic influence through powerful, instrumentally driven interplay. Both songs are now streaming on all major platforms.
