Grungegaze Newcomers Glimmer Announce Debut Album, Release New Single “Dissolve”

NY-based grungegaze band Glimmer has announced their debut LP, Get Weak, due out on October 3rd. The album is available for pre-order via Bandcamp — with a vinyl release coming from Philly’s Abandon Everything Records — and album single “Dissolve” is now available to stream on all platforms. 

Over the past two years, Glimmer has made their mark with a handful of well-received singles that mix elements of shoegaze, grunge, and dream-pop for a sound that’s both nostalgic and of-the-moment. Recorded with Jeff Berner at Brooklyn’s Studio G and mastered by Will Yip (Turnstile, Superheaven), the band’s upcoming album pairs their more pop-leaning singles with heavy-hitting alt-rock anthems and softer, more etherial tracks that lend an otherworldly quality to their sound. New single “Dissolve” showcases Glimmer’s ability to craft instantly memorable hooks, while a wash of reverb gives the song a softer, dream-like quality perfect for hazy summer days.
