Cinematic post-rock ensemble The Color of Cyan will release their third full-length album, As Human, on September 5th. Known for blurring the boundaries between fragility and force, the Puerto Rico-rooted project continues its exploration of emotional liminality with its most compositionally ambitious and emotionally resonant work to date.
Opening with elegiac string arrangements and haunting tremolo guitars, As Human is a study in contrast: vulnerability versus resilience, memory against modernity. Tracks like the soaring “Hail the Mountains,” released on July 1st as the first single, build from minimalist ambiance into expansive crescendos, offering moments of sublime stillness amid orchestral peaks.
