Punk rock trio Heavy Seas have released “Castaway”, the latest single from their forthcoming third album By Degrees, due July 11 via Cobra Cafe (US) and Engineer Records (UK). The track delivers a punchy blend of punk and emo grit, channeling emotional urgency with melodic force, an evocative taste of what’s to come from the veteran-powered lineup.
Fronted by guitarist and vocalist Jeff Dean, with Jawbox’s J. Robbins anchoring bass and production duties, and Ronnie Dicola (The Arrivals, Local H, All Eyes West) driving the drums, Heavy Seas harness decades of underground pedigree into a modern, high-octane sound.
“Castaway” leans into themes of dislocation and resilience, pairing soaring riffs with tightly wound rhythms. It’s both a standalone anthem and a fitting prelude to a record poised to resonate with fans of raw, unfiltered punk energy. By Degrees drops July 11 on all major platforms.
