Croatian post-hardcore Dead Dog Summer released the new video for the third single „Bridges“ from their second album, that is arriving in fall of 2025.

The video was shot in May 2025 in club Prostor in their hometown of Cakovec. Steven Antalasic filmed it, and the band edited and post-produced it.

DEAD DOG SUMMER is a band from Čakovec, Croatia that has been active in the independent music scene since the end of 2020 and has released one album, “A Place of Someday,” which came out in 2022 as a digital edition and in May 2023 on vinyl by Geenger Records and their label, My Last Station.

Despite being relatively new, DEAD DOG SUMMER has already played numerous shows and festivals in Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, and Serbia.

The band is currently finishing their forthcoming album, which will be released in the autumn of 2025 as vinyl, tape, and digital.

„Bridges delves into the necessity of change and the courage it takes to leave behind certain aspects of life to move forward. The song resonates with themes of personal growth and the bittersweet nature of closing chapters. To cross new bridges, we must first burn the old, letting go of past ties to embrace the path ahead.” This encapsulates the song’s message about the transformative power of letting go and the personal journey toward growth.“

The band adheres to the DIY or “do-it-yourself” ethic, which means that they recorded their latest song in their own studio/rehearsal space. Ivan Jakić from Kut Sobe studio helped with the mix and mastering of the song, as always

If you had to categorize Dead Dog Summer’s music, it would be easiest to classify them as post-hardcore. They combine explosive guitar riffs with a solid rhythm section and a mix of singing and screaming vocals.

The band members are Igor Bistrović (vocals and guitar), Krešo Žerjav (bass and vocals) and Boris Strahija (drums).
