and also the trees begin a nine date May tour of Switzerland and Italy in Geneva tomorrow (15th May) as they continue to promote their acclaimed 2024 album ‘Mother-of-pearl moon’. They will also perform at the Botanique Festival in Bologna on 14th June. The full itinerary is as follows:

These dates coincide with the reissue of the group’s 2007 album ‘(Listen for) The Rag and Bone Man’, a release that marked a renaissance of the band at that time. This new remastered edition includes six previously unreleased tracks written during the same period but not included on the original album.
Marking its first ever release on vinyl, this format comes as a double LP in a gatefold sleeve, in a hand numbered limited edition of 500. It will also be available on CD with booklet including lyrics and photographs.

Founded in 1979 during the original post-punk era by singer Simon Jones and his guitarist brother Justin, and also the trees are renowned for their captivating live performances, a unique style of mandolin-like electric guitar, evocative lyrics and dark jazz rhythms. The group have been a continuous presence on the post-punk, alternative rock and Gothic scenes worldwide, releasing fifteen studio albums and touring frequently throughout mainland Europe, North America and Japan.
