Dream Bodies, the new solo project from Steven Fleet, unveils its debut single Don’t Look Back—a lush fusion of post-punk, darkwave, shoegaze, and dream pop. Originally conceived during Fleet’s collaboration with Dexy Valentine (Magic Wands) in Starlit Motel, the song resurfaces with a shimmering, synth-heavy arrangement and added guitar textures. Brooding yet hopeful, Don’t Look Back urges emotional release and forward motion through hypnotic basslines, ethereal layers, and haunting melodies. Drawing on influences like Cocteau Twins, The Cure, and Clan of Xymox, Dream Bodies sets a beautifully spectral tone for what lies ahead. The future waits, don’t look back.
