Hollow Skies Released New Single And Video “Downfall”

The alternative metal band HOLLOW SKIES returns with a new single titled “Downfall”, now available on all digital stores in collaboration with Warmusic Management. The track – featuring Lorenzo Accattoli (Stain The Canvas) in the writing and production process and Federico Ascari for mixing and mastering – is supported by an official video directed by Luca Moretti.

The song delves into the difficult search for oneself in a state of emotional disconnection, reflecting on the inability to truly shed light on what we feel, preventing us from finding a way out: “This song explores the deep emotional abyss of a soul lost in incommunicability” says the band “The lyrics paint a picture of overwhelming loneliness, where Camilla feels invisible, distant, and remote, almost as if she is imprisoned in a reality that shrinks around her. The inner struggle is constant, the scream of suffering becomes a whisper, and the mind, a dangerous and chaotic place, is no longer safe. The inability to communicate with others and, even more painfully, with oneself, turns every thought into an unbearable urgency. Mattia strengthens this concept in his verse, which is more rhythmic and sustained: pain makes us blind to others, empathy is a distant memory, lost in the maze of our insecurities. The track addresses the impossibility of being seen and heard, of a loneliness that grows exponentially, while self-understanding fades into darkness. A strong sense of frustration for a world that seems increasingly blind to the needs and desires of others. Overall, the track lays bare the painful incommunicability between people and the isolation that results, an isolation that becomes increasingly suffocating, while the world continues to spin unconcerned as if nothing had happened”.
