Alternative metal act Watching the Abyss is glad to announce the release of their new self-titled album, available now in all digital platform in partnership with Warmusic Management. The proposed genre focuses on an evolution of early 2000s alternative metal, influenced by metalcore, nu-metal and rock. The album was recorded at Kaboom Studio Sound by Luca Pretorius, mix and master by Jarno Bellasio (Theorem Studio).

“‘Watching the Abyss’  is our debut album, our way of introducing ourselves to the World. We decided that this record would be self-titled to express the strong identity of the band, how deeply we identify with the work we’ve created, and because we want our listeners to feel like they are part of our big family. The album was born from a long journey, with songs written at different moments in our history – some before the pandemic, others afterward. This has resulted in a musical path that reflects our growth, both as individuals and as a band. Each track represents a stage in this evolution, a musical narrative of the experiences that have shaped us. The foundation of this record is the people who wrote it and the friendship that has united them for years. The bond between us as band members is genuinely a friendship built over time, and the harmony that connects us is infused into every song on the album. Despite their diversity in sound and atmosphere, all the tracks manage to come together into something unique. This is just the beginning. We have many projects in the works, and soon we’ll be announcing live dates to bring this story to the stage. Thank you to everyone who chooses to be part of this album, to those who will appreciate it, and even to those who will simply move on”.
