Vancouver, BC based shoegaze quartet, la lune, shares their new single quiet considerations accompanied by a music video out via play dead on March 6th, 2024.
Following a breakout year in 2024—including the release of their debut EP disparity, a feature on Musora, and opening for the likes of Horse Jumper of Love and LSD and the Search for God—Vancouver-based shoegaze quartet la lune returns with their new single, quiet considerations, a track that captures equal parts beauty and urgency.
From its opening seconds, quiet considerations is a hurricane of sound, propelled by pounding drums and dense, distorted guitars; but within the eye of this storm, frontman Ethan Rebalkin delivers the emotional gut punch that has come to define la lune. Exploring the complexities of parasitic relationships, Rebalkin captures the struggle of recognizing manipulation while still making excuses for someone’s toxic behavior.
With its gentle, layered vocal harmonies and sincere emotional core, the group delivers a nuanced take on beloved shoegaze and alternative rock sounds. While la lune often draws from genre staples such as My Bloody Valentine, Duster, and DIIV, they never lose sight of their unique vision, always delivering a punchy and meaningful listening experience that feels distinctly their own.
