The rhythm machine continues to pump in a straight line, while the fuzzed-out guitar cuts its way out of the dry ice fog and lies down on a comfortably warm bass waterbed. This damn coldwavy “deadpan” vocal is aimed directly at the frontal lobes again. The synthetic surfaces and effects are very present in the sound world of MANTAROCHEN anyway and round off the impression that this must simply be a lost treasure from the early 80s.”
