Dreamwave Released New Single And Video “Wide Shooter”

Bristol’s Dreamwave have carved out a reputation across the UK for their dynamic performances, igniting packed rooms at iconic venues like Bristol’s Rough Trade, London’s Old Blue Last, and Shacklewell Arms, and performing for tastemakers such as Eat Your Own Ears and at Glastonbury festival.

Their Debut E.P ‘Dreamwave and the Mindcave’  received critical acclaim, propelling them into a pink tinted limelight amongst local and international psych scenes.
To finish off 2024, the group returned with Polystyrene Irene, a track that “hits like a hammer, making it unapologetically one of the standout tracks of the year,” according to The Indie Scene, ushering in a new cycle for the band.

New single Wideshooter sees the group dive headfirst into new waters, showcasing a more unconventional and playful side. The track was presented as a lyricless demo the night before their studio session at Nine Volt Leap with Dom Bailey-Clay. Inspiration took hold leading to the band finalising it faster than its total length of 3 minutes and 3 seconds. This is a single of firsts with bassist Cam taking lead vocals and all other members featuring on various backing vocals throughout. Channeling long time heroes The B52’s and Devo, the track leans into Punk and New wave, whilst still capturing the mischievous psych underbelly from previous releases. The lyrical content of the track tips its hat to Sunday league football  and is accompanied by a DIY spoof style music video produced, filmed and edited by themselves.
