The debut album “Eerie Nostalgia” by the band Fotokiller from Berlin transports the listener directly to the Post-Punk era of the 80s without losing the relevance to the present, both musically and lyrically. Thoughtful, at times even with the tenor of desolation provided lyrics with a high longing factor are in contrast combined with danceable and catchy melodies. Fotokiller accompany the listener sometimes gently, sometimes hot-tempered, awakening nostalgic memories, thoughts of the inevitable future and the wish for consistency in a world that seems out of control. The influence of great bands like The Cure or Joy Division cannot be ignored, but also Soft Kill, Wipers or Pink Turns Blue have provided inspiration for this LP.
