Underheaven Released New Track “Church Of Bones”

Underheaven - Church Of Bones

Underheaven is back with their latest track, “Church of Bones,” a song that continues their evolution from early no wave and post-punk roots into something far more cosmic and intense. Originally formed as a duo with Howard Wuelfing and Don Zientara before the DC punk first wave, the group has transformed over the years. Now composed of metalhead Chris Gelok and Wuelfing, they craft a sound that blends heavy, dark, and trippy cosmic metal with the atmospheric weight of bands like Neurosis, Envy, and Isis.

“Church of Bones” is a fitting exploration of darkness, with its drifting, ominous atmosphere. Gelok has also created a visual to accompany the track, adding an extra layer to the experience. The song’s haunting presence invites listeners to ponder the great cosmic question, whatever that may mean to you.

Check out “Church of Bones” below and let its post-punk, punk rock, and cosmic metal influences take you on a journey through shadowed space.
