Buck Gooter is excited to announce that their new album “King Kong Lives: Thereminsanity” will be released in the twentieth year of Buck Gooter’s relentless creative existence on 4/4/25.
The lead single from the album, “King Kong Lives”, details the doomed resurrection of Kong over a rumbling minimal electro instrumental punctuated by Terry Turtle’s poignant chorus of “Fly into a rage and I lose control / Everybody’s got a little monkey in their soul”. King Kong lives in everything you know.
Buck Gooter began in 2005 as the primal electro rock duo of Terry Turtle and Billy Brett and has continued, at Terry’s urging, since his passing in 2019. “King Kong Lives: Thereminsanity” is the third Buck Gooter album created with Terry chiming in from beyond on every song via never before heard samples of his guitar and voice.
“King Kong Lives: Thereminsanity” was recorded in Los Angeles by Cordey Lopez and features contributions by Alethea Leventhal and Billy Hunt. The cover art was painted by Stoger (via Deadly Prey Gallery).
