ŽEN Released Live Album “La Futourrr”

Croatian all-women prog-indie-rock band ŽEN, riding the wave of success from their recent studio album ‘Ciklus’, is releasing a live album titled ‘La Futourrr’. The album is available as a digital release on all streaming platforms for Moonlee Records. The live album features energetic performances of songs from their first three studio albums, recorded during their extensive European tour in 2023, which was also their first tour since Jelena Božić joined the band on bass and vocals.

This live album represents an overview of ŽEN‘s creative journey so far, delivering the raw energy and atmosphere that accompanies their performances on European stages. ‘La Futourrr’ comes as a special gift for fans who want to capture a piece of the magic from their live shows.

The album release wraps up an exceptionally successful year for ŽEN. In September this year, the band released their fourth studio album ‘Ciklus’ (Moonlee Records, Vox Project), which thrilled both audiences and critics. The album has been ranked as one of the best of 2024 by numerous regional music media outlets, and the Zagreb album’s release party in Attack was sold out.

“La Futourrr is our thank you to all the fans who have been with us all these years. The energy we share at our concerts is truly special, and this album captures it in the best way,” say the members of ŽEN.

The live album La Futourrr contains a selection of ŽEN songs from concerts at Hirscheneck club in Basel, Switzerland, Kurdirektion in Bad Ischl, Austria, Dutch clubs Vera in Groningen and Tankstation in Enschede, French clubs Supersonic in Paris, Brin de Zinc in Chambéry, and the Festival Annulé in Caen. The release also includes a special performance of the song Lov na crne tipke recorded at the Tam Tam festival on Hvar island, where the band was joined by special guests Sabrina de Mitri on saxophone and Nick Pulpman on trumpet.

The shows took place from April to June 2023, and were recorded by Filip Kovačić. The mix was done by Eva Badanjak, who is also responsible for the album cover design, which features a photograph by Kristijan Smok. The mastering was done by Filip Sertić.
