11,” Niton‘s fourth album marks the tenth anniversary of the Italian-Swiss alternative electronic band and is available from today on LP and digital formats via Shameless Records and Pulver und Asche Records.

Niton formed on the border between Italy and Switzerland in 2012. Departing from the heterogeneous nature of its components (Zeno Gabaglio with electric cello, Luca XeliusMartegani with analogue synthesizers, El Toxyque with amplified objects), it proposes an original approach to electronic music so far expressed in four albums and numerous soundtracks for film, theatre and installations.

The new album is important turning point in Niton’s career, celebrating a decade of musical exploration into the concept and practice of electronic music. For the first time, Niton chooses to work collaboratively in studio with other artists on each of the 10 tracks. The guests are 11 international artists from varied creative backgrounds comprising Meryem Aboulouafa and Vanni BianconiJulian SartoriusBoris HaufJohn Butcher, art rock band Peter KernelOlivia LouvelBéatrice Grafandy_bluvertigoAndy Moor and Achille Ateba Mvondo.

11” was mastered by Henning Schmitz (Kraftwerk), and symbolizes for Niton the transition from the formative years to a more mature phase, embracing new and broader sonic horizons. “11” is not just a celebration of their past but a leap towards unexplored musical realms, setting the stage for an unforgettable journey.
