French musician and composer Alan Regardin has released “Ritual Tones,” a stunning album inspired by traditional drone music and contemporary music. The album is being released by labels Ormo Records and Nunc and is produced by french collective Les Mouflons.
This piece for trombone, flugelhorn, saxophone and positive organ focuses on intonation and textures, both harmonic and timbral, as well as chord iteration, plunging the listener into a state of loss of temporal reference points. Time is streched to allow reflection of an all-too-often illusive present, to try and settle in and find resonance with the elements in our world and with ourselves.
Alan Regardin is a musician and composer living in Nantes, France. He takes a unique approach to electronics and the trumpet. Through the use of noise and conventional music, he concentrates his study on the nature of sound and its vibratory spaces in the field of experimental music by way of noise and traditional music. He notably performs solo and in the bands Derby Derby, No Tongues and Onceim. He is a co-founder of Ormo Records.
