Italian Garage Rockers The Peawees Released New Single & Video “Plastic Bullets”

Italian garage-rock luminaires The Peawees will release their new album ‘One Ride‘ on 6th September via Wild Honey Records.

‘Plastic Bullets‘ is an in-your-face instant punk classic. Its catchy melody, groovy tempo, singalong lyrics and pop sensibilities fit right in with the best the late Seventies had to offer. The song comments on authenticity, the importance of staying true to yourself, and trusting your instincts: when you live life trying to be something you’re not, you’re just like a little kid playing cowboys with toy guns and plastic bullets.

‘Plastic Bullets’ will be released as a limited edition 7′, featuring a cover of Bob Dylan’s ‘Baby I’m The Mood For You’ as a B-side.

Recently released album’s first single ‘The Wolf‘ is a powerful song that meanders between garage, rock’n’roll and soul, all served with a modern touch.

Active for over 25 years, The Peawees have taken their Punk Rock roots and dosed them with R’n’B, Roots Rock, Soul and Garage influences while staying true to their rock’n’roll upbringings. The result is a unique sound that has taken them touring across the globe, where they have shared the stage and toured with the likes of The Sonics, The Fleshtones, The Dwarves and Radio Birdman.

The current line-up consists of founding frontman and songwriter Hervé Peroncini, ex-Nick Curran and The Lowlifes drummer and Texican transplant to Italy Tommy Gonzalez, Dario Persi (guitar, backing vocals) and Fabio Clemente (bass). Associated acts include Hervé’s guitar and songwriting work for Nikki Corvette and a recent Peawees collaboration with Mark Arm of Mudhoney.
