Brescia-based musical trio The Ashtags is set to launch its second album, “How We Fall,” on May 10. Founded in 2013 by Kurt, Gi3k and Franz (now replaced by Paolo), the project combined their influences and knowledge to create a unique sound that ranges from grunge to alternative rock, from raw punk to pop melodies.
“How We Fall” represents a bold step for the band, with sounds that are dirtier and rawer than their previous work. The 10-track album also features three tracks in Italian, showing the versatility and creativity of the members.
This new work is the result of the inspiration and fusion of ideas of the band members, who were nourished by the social and historical context in which we live. Each track is a reflection on contemporary life, exploring themes of oppression, anger, loneliness and hope.
The first single taken from the album, “Otherside,” already available along with its video clip, is a powerful anthem that captures the essence of the album, while tracks like “Against” and “Life” invite action and reflection on our collective future.
“How We Fall” is an exciting journey through the dystopian undertones of contemporary life.
