Detroit indie pop quartet The Doozers shares a new single, “5/3.”
The band explains how the song came about:
“It started with Sean all alone with a polyrhythmic beat on the organelle, then once the whole band was introduced, it blossomed on its own without much discussion. The song is a declaration of confidence, a reassurance of spring through the final moments of winter.”
Colorful and enigmatic, The Doozers sound like your favorite obscure 90s videogame. The energetic 4-piece is made up of Sean Donnelly (Lead Vocals, Guitar), Kyle Garland (Drums), Parker Grissom (Guitar), and Melanie Kelley (Bass, Vocals). Hailing from metro-Detroit, these silly cats are bonded by their love of sonic exploration and a good goof, which yields an Indie New Wave sound like no other. The group has been crafting their first full length album (not to be confused with their latest EP from 2019, Full Length Album), which is due to meet the world in Summer 2024.
