7 years after their last LP “When the fun is over…” (2017), 11 years after their “The end is near…”LP (2013), their appearance on the local ALF-Benefitcompilation “Hitters and Runners” from 2002 and a rough 24 years after their split CD with Charlie Dont Surf (1999) + than also the unforgettable Demo-Tape called “Forever” that has gone completely up and lost in time by many.

THE END OF ERNIE now, comes up with a new and great piece of listening-art.

With “Controversial Comfort”, they’re pulling out all their skills and creations together again on a newly record that turned out as a 14 song, full length album, worth listening to and comes smashing in as a pleasant but not too positive suprise, for all people that are affected by any diy punk, d-beat, rocks, crust and hc bands.

Most punk related genres are getting ripped apart here and retuned carefully by the band in a completely mix of their own style and sound, you can find hints and connections towards a complete blackbook of an underground sound, that is taking us back to some early era’s.

Strong, straight guitars, combined with continiously well driven drums that carry away the typical non typical, scarved tru live, smokers “last” voice.

This album, turned out into a non copromising, crushing up on tempo, downgraded melodical, d beat and hc punk LP that stands completely on its own.

The already from 1989 excisting punk hc band from hellgium, my have changed many times from line ups before but is going on now as a steady, a five piece army, speaking out against injustice, fucked up people, crazy world leaders and/or whatever it all needs to fuck up a mankind.
