CircleKSK – PHOTOSYNTHESIS

CircleKSK returns with another exceptional composition. This time, this Tokyo-based project has teamed up with Anya Jasmine, an outstanding lead vocalist who unquestionably uplifts this number to a new level. “PHOTOSYNTHESIS” also stylistically differs from CirckleKSK‘s previous works. Besides comprehensive collection of music genres like modern melodic metal, heavy metal, progressive metal, progressive rock, art rock, and many others, this exceptional multi-disciplinary artist introduces several punk rock subgenres. Therefore, don’t be surprised if you stumble upon some of the finest properties borrowed from melodic hardcore, hardcore punk, skate punk, melodic punk rock, or pop punk. It’s nearly mindblowing how all these styles found their way into this complex yet easy-listening sonic equation. CircleKSK proves not only he’s master in blending metal and rock, but also in combining punk rock aesthetics over the top, making “PHOTOSYNTHESIS” one of his best compositions so far.

As soon as you press play, you’ll notice that CircleKSK is not joking around with his music. That doesn’t come as much of a surprise considering that he always gives 100% while writing, composing, arranging, recording, and producing music. The exceptional vocal performance immediately strikes with flawlessly stacked harmonies, gliding over low, mid, and high notes with such ease. Anya Jasmine’s vocal abilities emphasize all the segments and instrumentations but also offer a dosage of complexity that further improves this number. Of course, CircleKSK incorporated some of the best instrumentations you’ll ever hear in modern music, no matter which genre you prefer. The guitars serve as a perfect backdrop that supports Jasmine’s vocal performance with cleverly assembled chord progressions and riffs while the lead guitar delivers leads, themes, melodies, and harmonies over the top. These guitar dualities shape the nearly cathartic ambiance. Every segment arrives with many sonic delicacies, tiny details, and nuances that make “PHOTOSYNTHESIS” such a profoundly detailed, catchy, and energetic song.

CircleKSK also thought about the rhythm section, so you’ll hear how the powerful low-ends support guitars and offer more than necessary heaviness, depth, and clarity. In the meantime, the highly dynamic drumming performance dictates groove and tempo with an entire collection of beats, breaks, fills, accentuations, and other percussive acrobatics. CircleKSK thought about the rhythm section as much as he thought about guitars and arrangements. Speaking of the arrangements, “PHOTOSYNTHESIS” has a strong melodic, heavy, and modern metal in its core but it also contains many punk rock aesthetics that make this song so fresh and unique. The song remains dynamic, melodic, and powerful from scratch to finish, keeping the listener engaged in the listening experience. “PHOTOSYNTHESIS” will immediately become a staple on your playlist thanks to CircleKSK’s ability to breathe fresh air into so many genres at once. He breaks the rules and pushes the boundaries with such ease, making modern metal, rock, and punk rock music exciting. The single is available on all streaming platforms. Don’t miss it!
