Dead Dog Summer kick off the new year with a new single and lyric video for Scars, which announced their new album that is planned to be released at the end of 2024.
After the successful first album A Place of Someday which was released in September 2022 first as a digital release on Geenger Records and later as vinyl in May 2023, the band continues its journey with new songs and concert promotion.
Dead Dog Summer is a post-hardcore band from Cakovec, Croatia, they were founded at the end of 2020 and the band consists of Igor Bistrović (vocals and guitar), Krešo Žerjav (bass and vocals) and Boris Strahija (drums).
The band has played many concerts in Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary and Serbia so far and they also performed at Exit Festival and Rocklive.
“Scars is something that was written maybe 25 years ago as an idea when Kreso and Igor had a band Britney’ s Pierce but as that band never recorded anything, we decided to steal the music and write new lyrics.
Scars is a song about growing up and life, about something we went through that marked us, but also about the fact that if we look at those events as a trauma, we will never move on and live in that vicious circle and live the same life. Of course, it’s easier and safer to stay in that place and wait for things to change on their own but that’s not happening…”
Scars also has its own lyrics video in which they used live footages from concerts in Maribor, Budapest, Karlovac, and Novi Sad.
The song is available on all digital services and the lyrics video is on their YouTube channel and social networks.
