Luke Tangerine – Digital Sin

Unstoppable German multi-instrumentalist and producer Luke Tangerine returns with another mindblowing composition. “Digital Sin” is his latest number that showcases how he still floats synthwave waters, but with even more straightforward electronica included along the way. Tangerine remains loyal to his primary sonic direction, but “Digital Sin” showcases what happens when all his interests collide in a colossal slab of harmonious sounds. Besides synthwave, this skillful producer incorporated fundamentals of electronic music, darkwave, leftfield, techno, house, and dance, but don’t be surprised if you stumble upon some other elements along the way. His ability to always deliver a top-notch musical experience goes beyond comprehension so many times throughout the entire track.

“Digital Sin” showcases a much more dynamic side of Luke Tangerine’s music. It’s an upbeat composition with profoundly dynamic, complex rhythmic structures where regular and odd-time synth beats, breaks, fills, and other percussive acrobatics reign supreme. The vigorous tempo is one of the main characteristics of techno, house, dance, and other electronic music genres, but Luke Tangerine leans much more towards synthwave, leftfield, and retro electronica with this number. As usual, he invested some of the finest sequenced themes, detailed melodies, mesmerizing harmonies, and arpeggiated chord progressions, which serve as an adequate soundscape that keeps the listener’s attention. There’s a thick layer of leads and ambiances lurking around, giving even more complexity to the song. You’ll also notice how warm-sounding synth basslines serve as binding element between all these melodies, harmonies, themes, and the mentioned rhythmic sequences. As always, Luke Tangerine thought about everything, but it seems like this track showcases his brilliance even more than his previous numbers.

Another detail that will unquestionably catch your attention is how Luke Tangerine builds such an intricate atmosphere. This song starts with vigorous beats and gradually introduces more nuances, articulations, and instrumentations, developing an ear-appealing composition invigorated by brilliant ideas and exceptional musicianship. Luke Tangerine not only delivers premium electronic music but also breaks the rules and pushes the boundaries of traditions in composing music. Many producers would avoid these experimentations with so many genres mainly because it’s difficult to achieve the great result, but not Luke Tangerine. He knows how to arrange, perform, and record irresistibly catchy synthwave tracks where the elements of complementary music genres shine in the limelight. He proves once again he’s a clever producer who does not hesitate to try something new, and his tracks are always cleverly constructed, with so many sonic delicacies awaiting on every corner. You should check out “Digital Sin” as soon as possible. The single is available on all streaming platforms.
