Last week, Bad Nerves released the video for their Liam Lynch’s ‘United States of Whatever’ and Sham 69s ‘Borstal Breakout’-inspired recent single “USA“. The video is available to watch here. Frontman BobbyNerves shared “We never in a million years thought we would get to tour America, so we made sure to document almost every minute of it so we could relive it later in case it never happens again! This video is a tiny compilation of some of that footage”.

Shortly after recording “USA” (which was mastered at the famous Abbey RoadStudios), the band were invited to America to support Royal Blood which presented a perfect opportunity to introduce the song to an American audience. The video release also came ahead of them joining The Darkness across their sold-out UK tour in December.

Bad Nerves play ferociously fast distorted pop songs and drew acclaim with their previous releases “Dreaming“, “Baby Drummer“, & “Can’t Be Mine“. Their sound reminiscent of Jay Reatard, Supergrass and Ramones caught early attention from BBCRadio 1, Spotify and Amazon Music, whilst the band instantly created a name for themselves as a force to be reckoned with throughout the UK rock, alternative, punk and pop scenes.

The band have also been hand-picked by Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day for his Oakland Coffee playlist and were labelled by Stone Gossard from Pearl Jam as one of his recent favourite bands.

While the quintet initially wanted to see if they could write a track using only the words “United States of America” on repeat, speaking of the track lyricist and band frontman Bobby Bird says, “It’s strangely satisfying yelling ‘United States of America’ over and over. You can feel it stick to the back of your throat. The unparalleled superpower of the West. Yosemite and the green mountains of BlackRock! The American dream and the mighty Super Bowl! But perhaps it’s just the phonetics. After all, Papua New Guinea didn’t have quite the same ring, although it did look beautiful through my computer screen”.

Catching the attention of Royal Blood and The Darkness’ Justin Hawkins who, when speaking of the band on his YouTube stream, said “How can you not like this band? They’re so fucking cool”Bad Nerves were personally invited to join them on their tours this Autum and Winter. Special guest slots for the band in the past year saw them touring alongside Black HoneyCreeperSalemTigercub, and The Struts whilst they played an unforgettable show at BST Hyde Park this year with rock legends Guns ‘n’ Roses.

With their loyal supporters of the industry including Dan P Carter at BBC Radio 1’s Rock ShowJack Saunders on BBC Radio 1’s Future ArtistsClassic RockKerrang! MagazineDIY Magazine and John Kennedy at Radio X, the band have built a dedicated fan base since their debut album release in 2020. With a BBC Radio 1 Maida Vale session and Amazon Live Scene Twitch stream also under their belt, the band have garnered an overwhelming amount of support with only one album to their name. Earlier this year, the five-piece dropped a limited edition run of 10” vinyls from their iconic Sebright Arms show in April 2022 whilst Classic Rock Magazine summed the night up as “this is what we needed. Go and see Bad Nerves. Do it now”. With bodies falling from the ceiling and the recording equipment blowing up half way through the set due to the heat of the room, the night was one that will go down in punk’s history books.

New single “USA” is Bad Nerves’ confident introduction to U.S. media which sees them bringing their blend of power pop and rock ‘n’ roll to fans across the seas as well as undoubtedly pleasing their already loyal fanbase.
