Move Released New Single “1,000,000 Experiments”

Boston hardcore band Move shares their new single “1,000,000 Experiments.” The socially driven track hits with a bouncy guitar groove and an impassioned, direct vocal delivery. The songs follows the already released  “Imperialist Reign” and “Summer Trend,” from Move’s upcoming debut full-length Black Radical Love, set for release August 11th on Triple B Records.

Diving into the inspiration behind the single, vocalist Corey Charpentier states: “This song was inspired by Mariam Kaba’s work/ website called https://millionexperiments.com/ which culminates and documents the many transformative and abolitionist orgs across the US that are building a better tomorrow. Revolution is not just about the destruction but the rebuilding of systems that truly care about the people and we felt it was necessary to include that.”

Black Radical Love was recorded from February 2022 to September 2022, produced and mixed by Charlie Abend at Tower Farm Studios in Billerica, MA, with additional production by comfortabledude and Reg Manson, and mastered by Arthur Rizk. Guitarist Nick Hochmuth led the charge on creating the songs, demoing out the entire album during quarantine in 2021, and then working with the band collaboratively in the studio to achieve what is their proudest and most creative work yet. You’ll hear hardcore songs that are begging to be moved to in the pit, and also powerful moments of spoken word provided by friends and fellow artists. Move ensured the album was a community experience, featuring Aaron Heard of Jesus Piece, Christine Cadette of Zulu, Kayla Philips of Bleed The Pigs, River Elliot of Ballista and Gjared Robinson AKA Balaram Shakti Das of Out Of Body.

On what Charpentier hopes listeners take away from Black Radical Love, he states: “It took a community to create this record, and that’s the exact reason why we feel as strongly about it as we do. It’s an example that the best things are done together it doesn’t matter if it’s art, or organizing against the state when we do things together it always creates the best results. We want people to listen to these songs and become energized to act and figure out where they can take collective action with others. Just like we want people to take that same energy and be about that action in the pit too, songs that compel you to fight back against injustices and get down in the pit.”

Black Radical Love is available for preorder now through Triple B Records.
