The Dead Krazukies go hard with new cover track “Maniac” – the French melodic skate-core band takes on a classic, announces new heavy metal inflicted album “From The Underworld” – mastered at Blasting Room.
Exactly 40 years since the original release, “Maniac” gets a heavy makeover. The Dead Krazukies go bold and go hard by teasing their new album with the release of a skate-punk cover of the pop classic.
Think Pennywise, Rise Against, and a bit of Anti-Flag and you’ve got The Dead Krazukies! Since 2010, the band from Hossegor brings out a concentrated blend of catchy melodic punk, raw energy and 90’s surf and skate culture.
In 2016, their first self-produced album, “The Northern Belle” was a great success and directly established the group in the European skatepunk scene. After a lot of shows and festivals, they ended up in 2019 opening the Punk in Drublic Festival with legendary Bad Religion and NOFX on the French date of the event.
In November 2020, the band released “Icarus” during the pandemic through SoundSpeed Records (USA), SBAM Records (Europe) and Punk&Disorderly (Canada). The album was a hit and quickly sold-out.
Fueled by troubled times, the frustration of not touring and the musical path already initiated by Icarus, The Dead Krazukies is back with a brand new piece of raging tunes, “From the Underworld,” due out on June 16 2023, through SBAM Records and Kicking Records.
The 10 songs, mixed by Christian Carvin and mastered by Jason Livermore at the Blasting Room, oscillate between So-Cal Punk Rock and Old School Metal with no fear to explore new territories.
At the same time surprising and bold, From The Underworld won’t leave you indifferent. The Dead Krazukies intends to defend this album on stage and take everything in its wake.
