Overexposure Drop New Single “Read The Signs (No Salvation)

Hardcore punk outfit Overexposure has revealed details on their new EP Strive To Survive, which is set for a May 12, 2023 release. The new single “Read the Signs (No Salvation)” is available now on Bandcamp and iTunes, and the upcoming EP will be released via War Against Records. The song also received a special preview and feature this week courtesy of No Echo. The Strive To Survive EP comes on the heels of their 2021 debut LP California ‘98.

Based out of various areas of Southern California, Overexposure features members of Pressure Cracks and The Returners. The band takes heavy and open inspiration from The Nerve Agents and blends influences from 90’s bay area punk legends such as Rancid and early AFI with the iconic and aggressive energy of East Coast bands Minor Threat and Youth of Today. The band has played shows and toured extensively in a short period of time, sharing the stage with groups such as Negative Approach, Slapshot, The Briggs and many others. Overexposure’s unique blend of melodic and hardcore punk energy has quickly built up the band’s reputation, layered together with a DIY, “from the ground up” work ethic that is often forgotten in today’s music industry.

Strive To Survive and “Read the Signs (No Salvation)” were produced by Ryan Doria at Nightmare Sound Studio in California and mixed/mastered by Paul Miner (Thrice, Death By Stereo, Terror) at Buzzbomb Sound Labs. Additional vocals on the EP come from SoCal crossover punk/thrash group Skullcrack. Overexposure have also announced a 9 day East Coast tour coming up in support of the new music.

Overexposure is a hardcore punk band based out of Southern California. With inspiration drawn from 80’s and 90’s groups such as The Nerve Agents, AFI, Minor Threat and Black Flag, the group puts their own spin on things while mixing up iconic East and West Coast sounds. The band released their debut LP California ’98 in 2021 and are putting the final touches on their new EP to be released this May. Overexposure features members of Pressure Cracks, and The Returners.
