LineOut To Release New Album “Andromeda” In June Via Black Star Foundation

LINEOUT has been rocking stages for the past ten years, with their debut EP “Volume Up!” and their first full-length album “Guardians of Punk Rock” in 2014. In 2015, they made history as the first Italian band to play at Pouzza Fest in Montreal, Canada. They followed up with their second release “Blast in Turbigo” in 2017, and have since opened for some of the biggest names in punk rock, including Millencolin, Lagwagon, Ignite, Satanic Surfers, Strung Out, and Descendents, as well as several tours all over Europe.

In 2019, they released their second EP titled “Pugno Dall’Inferno,” featuring four raw and authentic live studio tracks that set the stages of festivals ablaze, including Manchester Punk Fest, Punk Rock Holiday, Bay Fest, Groezrock, Brakrock, and many more.

But then, the COVID-19 pandemic hit, halting their relentless touring schedule in its tracks. Forced to stay indoors, LINEOUT took this as an opportunity to write their most honest and daring album yet, ANDROMEDA.

Andromeda is a concept album, a punk rock opera, composed of one single track spanning 52 minutes, paying homage to the music that shaped LINEOUT’s sound over the years. The album takes us through the last 24 hours of a punk girl’s life, as she reflects on her mistakes and bad decisions, ultimately succumbing to her demons after a final dose of drugs.

Throughout the album, listeners can expect clear nods to some of LINEOUT’s musical inspirations, including Iron Maiden, Atlas Losing Grip, Satanic Surfers, and Thin Lizzy. But the band also takes it a step further, incorporating mariachi interludes and as well a tribute to the legendary Ennio Morricone. The album is enriched with a mix of catchy punk rock and slower songs, showcasing LINEOUT’s dynamic range and versatility.
