Circa Waves Released New Album; Watch The Video For “Never Going Under”

Circa Waves have released their new album Never Going Under, listen here.

Never Going Under is the band’s highly anticipated fifth album, which is out today via PIAS / Lower Third, and features the singles “Hell On Earth”“Do You Wanna Talk”“Carry You Home” and “Living In The Grey”.

Never Going Under is the encapsulation of a continued upward trajectory for Circa Waves over the last decade. Becoming one of Britain’s most influential and adored guitar bands across five genre-defining albums.

The latest stage in their illustrious career, this record sees the band continue to push themselves into new territories and effortlessly cement their place in the scene.

Speaking about Never Going Under, frontman Kieran Shudall says: “Never Going Under speaks to that uniquely modern phenomenon of genuinely not knowing what type of world our kids are going to find themselves in in 30 years. Physically, environmentally, politically we are completely in the unknown. That scares us all but ultimately we know we can never give up on the future because how can you? The songs on the album are written differently from the previous work we’ve put out. They are written from the perspective of my son and also from my own current experience of the climate today.

Circa Waves have always had a certain world view, but now it’s through that lens of being a Father and still not knowing what the hell is going on.

Never Going Under is a snapshot of the fear we all feel today and the resilience we will need to get through it.”

Alongside the album release, today the band releases the title track as a brand new single, which features a video directed by the band’s Joe Falconer. The video for “Never Going Under” is available to watch here.

To coincide with the news, the band have also announced a series of intimate album launch shows across the US – dates below.

Speaking about the album launch shows, frontman Kieran Shudall said: “We really wanna see you all close up for some really really small intimate rock n roll shows. It’s gonna get sweaty and loud. See you down the front!”

Tickets for the shows are on sale now and available here.
