After the critically acclaimed full-length release MY LOVE MUSiC, Florida-based quintet P.M. Tiger returns with another mindblowing composition. Catfish Motel is their second single this year, and if you loved their previous works, you’ll love them even more after listening to this exceptional track. These experienced musicians have what it takes to mellow out even the pickiest fans of indie music, and if Catfish Motel doesn’t convince you these guys are good, then I can’t think of any other method. Catfish Motel carries only the best properties of contemporary indie music, so it’s suitable for anyone into the particular genre. However, you’ll stumble upon some new wave, soul, funk, power pop, and probably some other genres along the way. Therefore, Catfish Motel is one of those tracks that carries many surprises, and the most beautiful part about it is that you’ll enjoy it.
First of all, the sound will blow your mind. Whoever engineered/produced/mastered this track did an incredible job. You’ll hear everything these guys invested into their song. Of course, P.M. Tiger sound like a pros. There’s no way you’re not going to love all those high-pitched, semi-distorted chord progressions, profoundly detailed warm-sounding basslines, and enormously dynamic rhythmic sequences decorated by continuous splashing over the cymbals, various accentuations, fills, and other percussive acrobatics. The lead vocalist perfectly matches these orchestrations, and his calm, confident, high-pitched voice decorates the entire song while the back vocals uplift everything on an entirely new level. P.M. Tiger sounds fresh and unique from scratch to finish, and there’s no way you’ll find a band that sounds this good as they do. Catfish Motel is available on all streaming platforms.
