Manchester, NH’s Donaher have released a video for their song “For Your Love,” the second from their album Gravity and the Stars Above, which they released in February. In the spring, the band partnered with Chicago-area label Jetsam-Flotsam to release the album on a special limited edition cassette and vinyl bundle.
Donaher wears their 90’s and early 00’s pop punk and power pop influences on their sleeve. The band has been compared to the likes of household power pop, Weezer and Fountains of Wayne, and indie punk mainstays, the Get Up Kids and Lemonheads. Filled with infectious hooks and guitar solos, Donaher was nominated for a New England Music Award for “Best Pop Act” in 2018 and has been featured on Sirius XM Radio. The band has toured the northeast and part of the midwest, having shared the stage with Collective Soul, the Ataris, and the Smoking Popes.
Their latest release Gravity and The Stars Above received 4 stars from The Punk Site, calling it “a very brave band and album.” A distinctly moodier vibe than their debut (I Swear My Love Is True), the sophomore release still sticks to what the band does best: harmony, hooks, and a whole lot of heart.
