Scott Reynolds (ALL) Releasing “Chihuahua In Buffalo”, His First Solo Acoustic Record On Vinyl On August 12th

‘Chihuahua in Buffalo’ is Scott Reynolds’ first solo acoustic record. A collection of songs, new and old, recorded, mixed and mastered at The Blasting Room in Fort Collins, Colorado, produced by Scott and his friend and former ALL-bandmate, Bill Stevenson. Pre-order the vinyl/stream the album here: HERE

Originally released digitally and on CD, Thousand Islands Records will provide this fabulous album with its first vinyl treatment! Available in 3 colored variants, 1 exclusively through Scott himself and 2 via Thousand Islands Records webstore.

Scott Reynolds grew up in Fredonia, New York, a small town south of Buffalo. A creative kid, he often opted for writing his own songs rather than practicing his piano lessons, and was always drawing pictures to go with the imaginative stories he created. His musical tastes spanned everything from Broadway show tunes to country and western, to jazz and Big Band, to 60s garage rock to old school punk rock, and it all would later prove influential. He taught himself to play the drums to Elvis Costello and the Kinks as a teenager, and shortly thereafter joined his first band.

In college, Scott made the transition from drummer to singer, and after graduating from Allegheny College with a degree in art, he decided, at the urging of his best friend, Dana, to pursue music. Scott moved to Los Angeles, where he eventually joined ALL, a punk rock band of former Descendents: Bill Stevenson, Stephen Egerton and Karl Alvarez.

With ALL, Scott recorded several albums and toured all over the world playing shows almost nonstop until he left the band in 1993. He then moved to the Pacific Northwest and started a band called Goodbye Harry, with whom he recorded two LPs.

In the late nineties, Scott moved back to western New York, where he, along with Josh Heatley, Tim Patterson, Mark Galley, and Eric Tuberdyke, became the Pavers. They recorded multiple LPs and EPs and toured the U.S., Europe, and Japan.

The next decade or so found Scott relocating to Austin, Texas, and working on various projects with friends like producer Dave Fridmann, and Steven Drozd from the Flaming Lips.

Scott has been playing and recording solo for several years now. With his nylon-string guitar and chihuahua, JB, in tow, he’s played his acoustic, jazzy-crooner tunes for a variety of audiences all over the world and shared the bill with other acoustic musicians and singer-songwriters and punk rock bands alike.

In 2017, Scott and JB moved back to western New York, where Scott began working on his latest record, the aptly named Chihuahua in Buffalo. The album, his first solo acoustic record, is a collection of songs, new and old, recorded, mixed and mastered at The Blasting Room in Fort Collins, Colorado, produced by Scott and his friend and former ALL-bandmate, Bill Stevenson.

Scott is currently working on more solo music, new music with the Pavers, and is always painting and creating. He is also working on a totally new project with some old friends, and there are other cool things in the works, like the documentary being made about him, by the writer and co-director of Filmage: The Story of Descendents/ALL. Stay tuned and keep connected!
