Everything But The Everything is no stranger to these pages. I had a chance to listen to many of his numbers so far, and I have to admit every composition delivered by this experienced artist sounds superb. However, somehow this one went under my radar. Luckily, I stumbled upon this tune a couple of weeks ago and decided to write a couple of lines about it. Jump is a slightly older composition. It has been two years since Everything But The Everything released this one but I think it unquestionably deserves your utmost attention. The track includes a guest appearance of Vacancies, another prolific artist who played with Israel Chavarin in The Frail. Therefore, there’s artistic chemistry between them, and it is vividly hearable from scratch to finish.
As you probably know, Everything But The Everything is all about post-punk, goth rock, darkwave, but some other genres lurk around depending on the mood Israel is currently into. Therefore, Jump carries strong post-punk vibes, decorated by the dark wave ambiance, rhythm section, and basslines. You may also notice some gothy maneuvers along the way that fit perfectly in this song. Every segment is assembled much sense, which you should expect from an experienced artist such as Israel. Jump also carries a dominant eighties atmosphere, but there are also some properties of the nineties and contemporary music. Israel is the type of musician who thinks about everything while writing, composing, and recording music, so Jump sounds like a track created and produced by a very creative artist. Jump is available for listening on all streaming platforms.
