Brooklyn, NY-based band Superbloom have shared their new single “Falling Up”. The two-minute long track swirls through dynamic chord structures and lush melodies that pack a punch. Vocalist Dave Hoon delivers catchy-hooks, projected by lustful lyrics mixed in English and French. The band self-recorded and produced the song and it was mixed and mastered by Zach Tuch (Touche Amore, Silverstein, Movements). It serves as a follow-up from their self-released 2021 debut album Pollen (mastered by Will Yip, mixed by Joe Reinhart, and produced by Superbloom), which has received over a million plays on Spotify. On the record the band combines melody focused grunge with moments of shoegaze and alt-rock for an enticing listen that has drawn comparisons ranging from classic alternative rock acts like Silverchair and Gish-era Smashing Pumpkins to more contemporary bands like Basement and Nothing.
Superbloom is Dave Hoon (vocals/guitar), Tim Choate (guitar), Brian DiMeglio (bass), and Matteo Dix (drums).
