Steel Bridges
“Already Gone” was written, composed, and produced by Philippe Routhier in his home studio between 2020 and 2021. This 170 bpm number is inspired by the 90s California punk style but has a contemporary twist and a metal bite. The chorus has a memorable hook and a strong bass line, while the verse is constructed on a headbanging guitar riff!
The new Steel Bridges album Under The Rug refocuses on the skatepunk/melodic hardcore influences of the project (Strung Out, Millencolin, Pennywise, etc.) by contributing compositions that further utilize the pace (up to 240bpm), beats, and arrangements of the genre classics, without entirely abandoning the metal side of the initially instrumental project asides. Made of eight original fast, tight, and loud punk numbers with a melodic but quite aggressive vibe, the new record is built on a lot of fast chugging guitar riffs over fast skatepunk rhythms with some metal knocks. The official release date is July 15th.
