Brainswitch – Sun Worship Kingdom CD (Geenger Records)

The Sun Worship Kingdom is a following full-length album by Brainswitch, progressive alternative post-rock band originating from Mostar, Bosnia & Herzegovina. I had an urge to delve deeper into their entire material since the band promoted the Sun Worship Kingdom with a couple of excellent singles such as From The Sleep, Bow Down To The Sun, and Sometimes Comes The Mother, Sometimes The Wolf featuring Mike Armine of Rosetta. It’s always good to mention their debut album And World Will Sleep, which I highly recommend as an overture to their sound of Brainswitch. You’ll immediately remark a shrewdly done production that highlights the exceptional musicianship of the entire band. The producer has done an amazing job, so you’ll definitely be blown away by the compactness, and the sonic presence of the entire group. Basslines are penetrating the gradually distorted guitars with such a powerful warm sound that has been supported by excellent drumming. Drumming sequences are nicely arranged to fit various shreddings, which will certainly keep your attention throughout this remarkable recording. Vocals are one of the highlights, with a huge assortment of vocal disciplines being explored to the very limits. Some of the singing technics include in-depth singing, high pitched vocals that go into higher octaves, powerful screaming, massive growling, but the singer also keeps some surprises up in his sleeves. Brainswitch goes into deep sonic exploration by incorporating elements of alternative, grunge, and sludge to foundations of post-rock / post-metal music. Their music fulfills the room with appealing dark ambiance but also provides some sacral feeling to the overall listening experience, so with great assurance, I can affirm Brainwitch most likely achieved their goals with the Sun Worship Kingdom because this material can be perceived in so many ways. The band evidently made a progress since their debut record by equalizing memorable calmful segments with ferocious post-metal arrangements, mainly showcased through catchy compelling choruses. This astonishing recording comes housed into a compact disc that has been accompanied by eye-catching cover artwork. Besides digipack CD release, you can solely experience Brainswitch’s music on all streaming services across the web. The Sun Worship Kingdom has been published by Geenger Records, Croatian independent record label with such an impressive roster, so I highly advise you to check out their website for more detailed info about this record.
