The World/Inferno Friendship Society – All Borders Are Porous To Cats LP (Alternative Tentacles)

The world would be such a boring place without entertainful music of The World/Inferno Friendship Society. Their vicious crossovers comprised of punk rock, soul, klezmer, gypsy etno music, flamenco, disco, twist, and even jazz music are far beyond its time mainly because of the skillful musicianship of all the involved musicians who were or they’re still part of this wondrous orchestra. Led by charismatic Jack TerriclothThe World/Inferno Friendship Society counts around seven to ten active members, plus around forty members who perform with this astonishing group occasionally. Since 1996, the group has appeared on some notable compilations and published loads of demos, numerous singles and extended plays, both compilation and live albums, plus six magnificent full-lengths such as The True Story of the Bridgewater Astral League (1997), Just the Best Party (2002), Red-Eyed Soul (2006), Addicted to Bad Ideas: Peter Lorre’s Twentieth Century (2007), The Anarchy and the Ecstasy (2011), This Packed Funeral (2011), and All Borders Are Porous To Cats being the latest addition to their impressive illustrious discography. All Borders Are Porous To Cars delivers some innovations to the music of The World/Inferno Friendship Society, the group explores the vast universe of various musical genres such as soul, klezmer, gypsy etno music, flamenco, twist, jazz, disco, pop, rumba, electronica, evergreen and doesn’t even tend to stop there. Quite the contrary, these highly intelligent musicians are courageous enough to explore even more in aim to highlight certain parts of their compositions even more. Perhaps the essence of their artistic expression lays down in fundamentals of punk rock, but music-wise, The World/Inferno Friendship Society are firing the wide array of polyphonic tones by incorporating some uncommon musical instruments in their music, such as accordion, piano, keyboards, theremin, baritone sax, alto sax, trumpet, tenor sax, clarinet, violin, percussions, bells, plus other miscellaneous instruments, electronics, and programming. The result is enhancing the overall listening experience, each composition has its own trademark that separates itself from the rest of the album, but on the other hand, the entire album is thoughtfully combined into one giant multi generic portion of entertainful, pleasantly weird music. The World/Inferno Friendship Society combines manners, style, rage, and political activism into this reasonably explainable situation where the creativity of the entire group clashes with intelligence, and the result is this comprehensive collection of eleven multidisciplinary compositions full of entertainment and critical thoughts. All Borders Are Porous To Cast LP is up for pre-order at Alternative Tentacles, so the album will be available on both vinyl and a compact disc, therefore, it will probably be available on all streaming services in the nearest future as well.
