Justin Webb & The Noise return “all gas, and no brakes,” with their deeply personal and emotionally resonant new single, “Thief in the Night,” out now in partnership with Austin-based indie label Chicken Ranch Records. The song debuted today at Rock and Roll Globe along with a live video by Joshua Shoemaker, filmed live at The Basement in Nashville, TN.
Justin Webb & The Noise are known for their raw, unfiltered approach to rock, the band gets louder and turns inward on this release—exploring themes of time, doubt, and the relationships that pull us through it all.
“‘Thief in the Night’ is about how quickly life moves, how easy it is to lose yourself in the rush, and the importance of the people who remind you that you’re not alone,” says frontman Justin Webb. “It’s a song about questioning everything while searching for something, and clinging to what is meaningful.”
Building on the momentum of their acclaimed 2024 debut Stupid Young and their most recent single 1997, Justin Webb & The Noise continue to craft songs with grit, urgency, and heart. Glide Magazine praised the band for leading “the revival of authentic rock,” while B-Side Guys called them “torchbearers for a brand of rock that values heart and grit over perfection.” Get Some Magazine described them as “a pure blast of rock and roll that celebrates connection over convenience.”
“Thief in the Night” was recorded at Blue Room Studios in Nashville and produced by Jared Reynolds (Ben Folds, Hayes Carll), with Charles Yingling engineering, mixing, and mastering. The result is a track that feels both intimate and anthemic—driven by atmospheric guitars, aching vocals, and the kind of chemistry that only comes from a band playing in the same room
With minimal overdubs, vintage tube amps, and a total absence of click tracks, “Thief in the Night” delivers the same live-wire authenticity that fans have come to expect from the group.
As Justin Webb & The Noise gear up for more releases throughout 2025, “Thief in the Night” serves as both a sonic and emotional milestone—a track that digs deep, pulls no punches, and still leaves room for hope.
Justin Webb & The Noise are playing Nashville single release show on September 30 at The Five Spot.
