With the release of her haunting new single The Nite The Stars Fell (For Kurt Cobain), British Columbia singer-songwriter Kele Fleming offers a luminous tribute woven from the threads of personal crisis and musical reverence. Written during a medical emergency on April 5, 2024 (the 30th anniversary of Cobain’s death) Fleming composed much of the track.
The track features Canadian punk icon Art Bergmann on vocals, blending Fleming’s ethereal instrumentation with a rock backbone reminiscent of 1990s indie grit.
