After a first self produced debut EP and a full analogic recorded second EP Wrong Tide released on three indie belgian labels, highly anticipated debut album titled Reality Fantasy is set to be released on May 16, 2025 on vinyl and digital formats via labels JauneOrange, Rockerill Records and Cheap Satanism.
“Ride the Dragon” is the first single taken from the album and it is accompanied by a music video directed by Felicitas Jander.
The title “Ride the Dragon”, hybrid tune between pop and glam rock, is a cynical fable aimed at men and a love letter to femininity. A languid track set on choppy guitars and a laid-back rhythm, reflecting both the weariness and amused tone of the lyrics. This invitation to ride the dragon explores female emancipation, offering a singular vision where the dragon becomes a powerful metaphor for bold and fearless women.
ABOUT THE MUSIC VIDEO
Both gothic and cartoonish, the music video narrates the tension and ambivalence surrounding these “dragon women”—sometimes perceived as highly desirable, embodying the muse archetype, yet other times stigmatized as intimidating figures.
In a stark and direct visual style—deliberately chosen in reaction to the often-repeated tropes of rock music videos—this time drawing inspiration from hip-hop aesthetics, a fallen bride seeks her chosen one. Marriage, a symbol of feminine propriety, only leads her to face judgment. The character seeks to embody the essence of the femme fatale. This distinct aesthetic and cynical irony emphasize the tension between seduction and stigma, perfectly reflecting the song’s themes.
