Danish outfit Vinyl Floor has released “I’m on the Upside,” the third single from their forthcoming album, Balancing Act. Recorded at Studio Möllan in Malmö, Sweden, the track features lead vocals from drummer Daniel Pedersen and a warm, retro-rock feel bolstered by rich vocal harmonies.
Musically, the song is an uptempo, guitar-driven piece that celebrates curiosity and the urge to stray from the status quo. With bass from Jakob Gulbrandt Koldenborg and additional guitar from Daniel Hecht, the arrangement balances classic pop/rock songwriting with a lively, forward-moving groove. “I’m on the Upside” provides a positive, upbeat outlook, further building the anticipation for the full release of Balancing Act.
